4. a. How did Hamor and Shechem try to justify and make amends for Shechem’s actions against Dinah? Shechem has his heart set on Dinah. Intermarry with their daughters, settle, live and trade with them.
4 b. How did their proposal threaten Dinah’s dignity and the identity of all Jacob’s family? (See Genesis 24:1-4; 28:1-4; Deuteronomy 7:3-4; 2 Corinthians 6:14-18.) Dinah is up for trade.
