With God’s help, Joseph interpreted the cupbearer’s and baker’s dreams

“When his master saw that the LORD was with him and that the LORD gave him success in everything he did, Joseph found favor in his eyes and became his attendant.” – Genesis 39:3-4a

13. What stands out to you about the dreams and Joseph’s interpretation of them? God granted him the ability to interpret the dreams, and it was accurate.

14. What did Joseph ask the cupbearer to do for him? To remember Joseph, as he had been wrongfully thrown into a prison.

15. What happened to the cupbearer, baker and Joseph? The cupbearer was restored to chief cupbearer. The bake was executed. Joseph was forgotten and still in prison.

16. Recall all the people whose actions caused Joseph pain or extended his time of suffering in Genesis 37-40. What encouragement might Joseph have found while living through so many disappointments? God was with him, and grant him success in all he does.

17. How do you find hope and courage through a long season of disappointment or suffering? I hope that God was with me always, and grant me success through a long season of disappointment or suffering.
