Summary of Genesis 32:9-21
Jacob recounted God’s promises and faithfulness, and he confessed his fear and desperate need. Then, split the animals, and send them by herds to Esau. The servant was instructed on what to say. He was motivated to make peace with Esau.

6. What stands out to you about Jacob’s prayer? In desperate times, we seek God for help.
7. After praying, what did Jacob do to prepare to meet Esau? Why would he do those things? He selected the animals and sent them to Esau. For he thought, “I will pacify him with these gifts I am sending on ahead; later, when I see him, perhaps he will receive me.”
8. How do you see Jacob growing in faith? From scriptures so far, he didn’t pray much, but this time, he knew he had to seek God in prayer.
9. What keeps you from leaning completely on God with absolute trust and confidence? What helps you? In head knowledge, I know God is almighty and able to do all things. But I have an issue believing that God would do any good for me.
