These two verses seem straight forward and self-explanatory, but it has spark so many philosophy, theology and science questions. Many argued about and trying hard to explain what the beginning is literary. Instead, our focus should be the philosophical importance of knowing God as the creator, that God created the heavens and the earth
. We know God exists and was there right before the Earth was created.

What do these verses reveal about God and creation? God is the beginning and creator of all things. The world did not create itself or happens by chance. It was created by God, who is eternal and has always been.
What most intrigues you in these verses? The universe is enormous, and God created all of them. God creates out of nothing, no pre-existing materials. There is water on Earth right at the start.
